After impressive expansion work, one of Europe’s largest Instersport has chosen to equip its shop with Kylii Kids interactive games for children.

A Quiksilver game for surfing with body movements! 

Ready to catch the wave and perform extraordinary tricks while saving the planet? In this 3D gestural game, each character takes his board and collects as much waste as possible to clean the sea. Each time a shape appears on the screen, kids have to hold a pose to perform different tricks.

Games in the dressing rooms to keep kids busy

As parents who has never dreamed of seeing their child delighted to go into the fitting room and without a fit? In the fitting room, touch-screen wall-mounted terminals have been installed to entertain children d with more than 60 games on themes such as sport, ecology, fashion and food.

What’s new at Kylii Kids ?

For the first time in Germany, Kylii Kids is pleased to present the latest game to its range of interactive games: the Tower Kylii View – virtual reality games and experiences!

Invite the children to travel, to roam the air, the seas, space with virtual reality! The children look through the headset and they are immediately immersed in an original play universe. Kylii View is specially designed for intensive use by children.

“Place to Play” with Kylii Kids and PicWicToys

PicWic + Toys’R’Us = PicWicToys. From the merger of these toys distribution monsters in France is born a new brand whose ambition is to make each store a place of life for families. Kylii Kids is definitely active in this transformation!

” PicWicToys  is a new omnichannel brand that is launching in France, with a network of 63 stores, a complete digital ecosystem and 1,400 employees“, announced last July Nathalie Peron-Lecorps, CEO of PicWicToys. This new brand was born from the merger of the international brand Toys’R’Us created in 1948 in New York and Stéphane Mulliez PicWic brand. It proudly appears on the 43 ex-Toys’ R Us stores façade in France and by mid-November on the 20 ex-Picwic stores, but also on the single website, which is the cornerstone of an omnichannel strategy.  Globally, customers now benefit from a broad offer of nearly 20,000 references, on and off line.

Stores to play

New sign, but also new concept with “Place to play”. “The goal is to make each store a place to live for families and childcare professionals, explains Nathalie Peron-Lecorps. By creating traffic all year long, we want to make you want to come and come back through a wide offer for all ages and all desires. We propose workshops and entertainment to have fun and share, the possibility of celebrating birthdays in store or at home, to rent inflatable structures for family events or school parties, places to welcome and advise families … “. PicWicToys stores are not just toy stores but stores to play.

Re-enchant the customer experience

The brand also wants to be part of the future with interactive games to rethink the journey and the customer experience. For this, the new brand has asked Kylii Kids to deploy their interactive, fun and educational solutions. In Lomme, a multi-player touch table welcomes families to the relaxation area and two Kylii View towers are located in the heart of the store. Thirty games are offered to re-enchant the customer experience. Some have even been personalized with the new brand mascots, Pic, Wic and Toys, which are reflecting the new brand image : modern, joyful and related to childhood.

Since a few months, the Milanese have the chance to practice the Power Store. A new concept of Foot Locker store to live an original customer experience including Kylii Kids interactive games.

For the past few months, Kylii Kids has been working on the new Foot Locker store concept. After London and Liverpool, it’s now Milan’s turn to offer visitors a brand-new experience with the Power Store. The shop located on the Corso Buenos Aires unfolds on 550 m2 with two floors dedicated to the products and experiences of original purchases, plus a third entirely reserved for events in connection with partners and local artists.

A new customer experience

The challenge of this new concept is to create energy for customers through the proposed experiences. Hence the choice to install two virtual reality towers and an augmented reality games made by Kylii Kids. With each interactive solutions, families and kids will be able to live an original adventure with games that have been customized like this brick-breaking box of shoes …

Diversify the clientele

With such innovations, the brand clearly wants to diversify and rejuvenate its customers. The concept deployed at the moment in three stores could, if it is conclusive, subsequently be deployed in other cities. The United Kingdom, Spain, Italy and now Germany … Clearly, the concept of digital playgrounds proposed by Kylii Kids is sufficiently relevant and innovative to cross borders with the Retail Tech Tour !

“Thanks to Business France,” explains Antoine Nuger, Commercial Director of Kylii Kids, “we were able to conduct a targeted prospecting mission to Germany on a list of clients who are difficult to approach for a company that is not yet locally established. Several contacts were initiated and the conclusion of a first collaboration with the company ECE, landowner at the head of many shopping centers, was able to start successfully “. Encouraging results that have motivated Kylii Kids to offer digital playground solutions to major players in Germany, within the sector, via the Retail Tech Tour organized by Business France.

90 million consumers to target

From 18th to 19th February 2019, Kylii Kids will meet the big names of the German retail sector at EuroCIS, the leading trade show in Europe for retail tech, and also attend the Retail Technology Awards Europe 2019. A real opportunity, knowing that in 2017 the total turnover of the stationary and online retail trade in Germany amounted to about 479 billion euros against 471.5 billion euros in 2016, an annual growth of 1, 5%.

With more than 700 exhibitors and 37,000 visitors from over 100 countries The NRF Big Show has not failed in its reputation as the largest international exhibition dedicated to retail. 

From big players to smaller start-ups all looking to the future of the industry this was the perfect expo for Kylii Kids and the event was a huge success!  We have made contact with numerous potential customers and partners in a market that is conducive to solutions for digital play areas and interactive child spaces. The show was also an opportunity to unveil Kylii Kids’ latest innovation: Tower Kylii View.

New Shopping Experience: the future of trade is here with Kylii Kids!

Kylii Kids have developed two innovative attractions for Picom’s New Shopping Experience 2018.

The future of trade is explored with the New Shopping Experience, driven by Picom. This technological showcase brings together many initiatives, including Kylii Kids. As part of the 2018 edition, the leader of interactive gaming spaces have developed two demonstrators based on technological innovations.

Two innovations for children with RFID

The first demonstrator was designed with Flunch catering chain to reinvent the children’s shopping journey with an RFID chip. The other, utilising the same technology, takes the form of a treasure hunt in collaboration with Picwic toy stores. Children, with an RFID bracelet, undertake a mission to collect hidden clues throughout the store.  At the exit, all clues are used to open the safe …

Reinventing the treasure hunt

Both fun and engaging, this mission offers a screenless experience, during which children are encouraged to move and think. For the brand, it is also an opportunity to highlight all areas of the store and provide an innovative corporate image. It not only works well for a toy store but holds great potential for all retailers, even outdoor spaces. NSE 2018 was presented at Paris Retail Week and Conext.

Kylii Kids is one of the 20 French Tech Pavillion startups demonstrating their innovations in New York for the future of business at the NRF Retail’s BIG Show.

In retail, if there is a fair to visit, it is the NRF Retail’s BIG Show in New York. This year, it will take place from January 13 to 15, 2019. It should attract more than 35,000 participants and 18,000 retailers. It is the rendezvous of innovation in the world of commerce. Business France regularly takes a selection of select startups. This year, Kylii Kids is one of the chosen few.

A “mature” approach for the American market

After a competition, only 20 startups had the chance to exhibit at the French Tech Pavillion NRF Retail’s Big Show. 6 in the category “Early Stage” and 14 in the category “Mature” (those who already have French and international customers and have a real ambition to develop in the US market). Kylii Kids was selected on these criteria. In addition, as explained by Johann Gobe, CEO, in an interview for Les Clés du Digital “the US market is our goal for 2019. NRF is therefore for us a real opportunity to understand this market, to meet potential partners or to begin and deepen our discussions with the on-site retailers“.
